JOTA was confirmed as an Al-Ittihad player on Monday evening, ending his two-year stay at Celtic.
The Portuguese superstar, signed under Ange helped the bhoys to five domestic trophies out of six and treated us to some memorable moments along the way.
The rumour mill had gone into overdrive since the weekend after it became clear Jota was being offered life-changing money to make the switch to Saudi Arabia. It was even more inevitable knowing Al-Ittihad had the funds to meet Celtic’s lofty demands.
The announcement came from the official Al-Ittihad social media account on Monday evening and it was a bit bizarre. It showed current boss Nuno Esperito being animated by the Saudi social media team and picking from a deck of cards with Celtic players on them. Albian Ajeti even made an appearance in the deck!

It was all pretty frightening if you ask me, I don’t know if we’ll sleep tonight with the haunting face of Nuno from the video living rent free in our heads.
