Celtic were deep in training at Lennoxtown on Thursday morning, preparing for their upcoming trip to Dublin over the weekend.

The club’s social media video, which focused on two new recruits, inadvertently revealed a significant piece of news that didn’t escape the notice of us and other fans: Cameron Carter-Vickers was seen training with his teammates!

The American defender, who had undergone a knee operation at the end of last season, is now back on the training field, working hard to regain his form.

Carter-Vickers delivered an exceptional performance in the Scottish Cup semi-final against The Rangers. Merely 72 hours after that game, he underwent surgery.

Unfortunately, the centre-back missed the team’s triumph against Inverness in early June, where they secured the treble. However, this break has allowed him to recover optimally and potentially return early in the new season.

While it’s uncertain whether his fitness level will permit him to participate in the season’s opening weekend against Ross County, it’s plausible to expect his return sometime in August.
