Daizen Maeda has given Celtic the lead against Livingston after a wonderful pick out from Nicolas Kuhn.

Just seven minutes into the game, Kuhn played an audacious ball over the Livingston defence, which Maeda chested down.

The Japanese international then calmly slotted past Michael McGovern in goal to score in his 100th game for Celtic.

Maeda and Kuhn look to be forming a great connection, with Kuhn showing that through balls are a big part of his style of play.

With Maeda on the other flank, the German winger will have the chance to play through balls often due to the Japanese winger’s blistering pace and willingness to run in behind as much as possible.

Maeda hasn’t hit the heights of the previous two seasons so far under Brendan Rodgers, but he is slowly beginning to find his form and come into his own.

With Yang Hyun-jun suspended for today’s game and next weekend against St. Johnstone at Celtic Park, Kuhn will be given yet another chance to prove himself.

In the first 10 minutes of the game, he has shown promising signs with his dribbling ability and vision.

The German winger has had a slow start to life at Celtic, despite scoring against Aberdeen at Pittodrie in only his second appearance.
