Celtic defeated Rangers by two goals to one in the second Glasgow derby of the campaign on Saturday. It was a deserved victory for the Hoops, but Kyogo’s goal shone through.
At the beginning of the second-half, the Japanese frontman received the ball just outside the opposition box. He set himself and unleashed a strike of sheer brilliance into the top right-corner:
Dare I say this is one of the best Derby goals I’ve witnessed live. pic.twitter.com/B8pLpz5CeY

The timing of the goal was utterly crucial, and its prowess was mighty. Arguably, it is one of the best goals that have been scored in Glasgow derbies in recent times.
Few would struggle to find a strike better than Kyogo’s across the current campaign. The goal itself was breathtaking, but the fact it was in a game the prominence of the Glasgow derby makes it even more impressive.
It is fair to say some within Scottish football wrote Kyogo off prior to today’s match. The 28-year-old, though, silenced his doubters with what turned out to be the winner.
