JAMES MCCARTHY hasn’t had a positive start to his Celtic career, but he gained a lot of plaudits on Sunday afternoon, starting and playing the full game for Celtic in their 2-1 win against Aberdeen.
The Irish international has had a stop/start season so far for the Hoops. Since signing for the club, James has had to get up to match fitness and then wait for his chance.
When Tom Rogic went down injured, Nir Bitton got the nod in midfield with Callum McGregor pushed up the park. When Nir picked up an injury against Bayer Leverkusen, James finally got his chance in the SPFL.
These fans believe this has been a turning point for the Celtic man.

James will have to wait to find out if he will keep his place for the game against Hearts on Thursday. Tom Rogic was tipped to be back for the game today but, in the end, didn’t make it. The Australian should be back for Thursday and it will be up to Ange to decide who gets the nod.
