CHRIS SUTTON has admitted he’s puzzled by the pecking order at Celtic Park and wonders why Marian Shved and Scott Sinclair can’t get a game.

Neil Lennon talked about Shved on Thursday night and claimed the Ukrainian was still adjusting to the move and he’s a player we’ll see more of as the season goes on.

Sinclair is an entirely different kettle of fish. He has been used sparingly be Neil Lennon since coming in but he’s been dropped not just out of the starting XI but the squad altogether. Ever since the player stayed behind when Celtic were playing Cluj because there was an opportunity to move down south on English deadline day, he has not started a game. The Englishman has only made one squad since the transfer to England came about.

Writing in his Record Sport column, Chris Sutton has a veiled dig at Lewis Morgan as he discusses the duo.

“Mikey Johnston was terrific. He’s really blossoming, but behind him in the pecking order puzzles me. Lewis Morgan looks the back-up but what has happened with the £2million of Marian Shved? And Scott Sinclair seems to be out in the cold.

“It still looks a bit of a jigsaw to me. With just over a week until the window closes, they’re an Odsonne Edouard hamstring pull or a James Forrest calf from a bad situation and that shouldn’t be the case.”

That is true, Neil Lennon must utilise his squad to the full. Celtic need to heat up some of their fringe stats and give them confidence. You would think the League Cup would be the time to do that but Neil Lennon opted for a strong squad against Dunfermline last week.
