CELTIC has been linked to striker Cho Gue-sung, with reports emerging at the same time as the Giakoumakis story, which suggested the Greek striker could make an exit in January.

He had an impressive World Cup outing, netting a brace in his country’s match against Ghana. The 24-year-old was called up to his country after an impressive season with his club, netting 21 goals.

Now that the Asian side is out of the World Cup, the player can focus on his future and participate in any talks regarding transfers.

If Ange Postecoglou is to make a move for the player, the door has now opened for them to strike a deal if they are intending to do so.

The Hoops have already welcomed two signings to the club, with Alistair Johnston joining Yoki Kobayashi as Celtic’s early January business. Could Cho Gue-sung join the pair?
