Over the summer, it was speculated that Kieran Tierney could make a return to Celtic. Such a move never transpired and the left-back eventually joined La Liga side Real Sociedad on loan from Arsenal.

Such a move has not stopped fans of the Glasgow giants from dreaming about a future move. It is one that club legend Scott Brown would like to see happen: “I’d love to see him back at Celtic, I would”, he said (Glasgow Times). “He’s loved by all the fans and it’s such a huge club for him. It was a hard decision for him to leave because the club means so much to him.”

At the time he departed, Tierney’s move to the Gunners was a record sale for Celtic. It helped the club massively in terms of finances.

Four years down the line, though, few would be against the 26-year-old returning to his boyhood club. Brown said: “In fact, there are clubs all over the world who would take him, to be perfectly honest. But Celtic have that pull over him which is a great thing. I’d love to see it happen one day. You never know.”

It seems inevitable that one day, Tierney will come back to Glasgow. Whether it is in the near or distant future, however, remains to be seen.
