Jonny Hayes has evoked an emotional response from a young Gers fan after the Celtic player seen the young lad being bullied.
After stopping young Callum from being assaulted further after school, Hayes split the fight up and offered him a run home. He politefully declined but Hayes, showing concern, followed the lad home to make sure the bullies did not return.
His mother, Jordan found out that it was Jonny Hayes who had intervened and stopped her son from being bullied.
The young lad wrote to Jonny and asked for an autograph, even though he was a Rangers fans. He was appreciative of the Celtic player’s intervention.
After his mother taking the letter to Lennoxtown, they didn’t expect much from it.
However, young Callum got a massive surprise when not only an autograph came through the post but a signed Celtic jersey with a personal message which brought an emotional response out of Callum.
Absolutely brilliant.
