Celtic have been rumoured to be interest in Kristijan Lovric for quite some time.

The left winger who currently plays for Croatian club Gorica is available for the right price this summer.

MailSport report Gorica have slapped a £4.2m transfer tag on their player and will let him go if any club meets that valuation.

Celtic might be reluctant to go as high as that for the 25-year-old but the club are running out of time to fill a vital position within the squad.

Moi Elyounoussi is no longer with the club and Mikey Johnstone’s first start back from injury resulted in another injury keeping him out for at least a month or so. We don’t have any viable, long term options in the position at this moment in time.

Ryan Christie has been shifted out to the left for the last two games. That’s not something we can keep going with for long.

If Lovric is wanted then it’s up to Celtic to be swift. It’s not just about the deal these days, it’s about getting the deal done so players can travel and isolate. Once we’ve signed a player, as we’ve seen with Starfelt and Furuhashi, we then must play a waiting game.
