Celtic centre-forward Adam Idah single-handedly turned things around for his side at the weekend against Motherwell. Coming off the bench at half-time, the Irishman bagged a brace that helped The Bhoys to a vital 3-1 victory.

Nodding home five minutes after the break, Idah got things going. The game dragged on from there and it didn’t look as though the Celts would get the winner although in stoppage time, Idah popped up, masterfully converting from Alistair Johnston’s low cross.

He now has five goal contributions in as many Hoops appearances. The 23-year-old scores or assists every 59 minutes in green and white, and has made some impact since joining on loan from Norwich City at the end of January.

Following his crucial contributions on Sunday, Idah took to Instagram. He captioned a few snaps from the late victory with ‘Enjoyed today…massive thank you to the away end!’:

The likes of Gustaf Lagerbielke, Shane Duffy, and Mikey Johnston all reacted to the post, acknowledging the criticality of Idah’s double. He is becoming a key player for Celtic as the weeks go by and on Wednesday against Dundee, he must get the nod.
