ALEXANDRO BERNABEI is again missing for his current side’s squad for their game on Wednesday.
Lanus take on Atletico Tucuman will go head to head but Alexandro won’t be part of the action.
The defender has been linked with a move to Celtic with many going as far as claiming Celtic have had a bid rejected. [Scottish Daily Express] Alexandro has no reported injury so it’s strange he’s not playing for the club at the moment unless he’s trying to push for a move away.
Celtic are looking to bring in competition for Greg Taylor in the position. There’s talk of Liam Scales heading out on loan or even on a permanent basis this summer and it’s likely Adam Montgomery will head out on loan again.
Celtic are short of proper options in the position and it was partly responsible for their Scottish Cup exit. By extra time, Celtic had run themselves into the ground. Ralston was playing at left back while Stephen Welsh was at right back. The hoops would concede a goal with players out of position.
We need a stronger squad and bringing in real quality allows us to maintain standards even when we have players out.
