Celtic got a more than credible result against Rennes this evening but Celtic fans finished the game outraged by Bayo being sent off by the referee.
The Spanish whistler was conned by the Rennes goalkeeper when Bayo went into try and catch a spilled ball. Bayo has every right to go for it and never went near the goalkeepers head. However, he started rolling around on the ground with the referee initially waving it off. He then checked on the goalkeeper and incredibly changed his decision giving Bayo a second yellow and sent him packing.
The referee was intent in making himself an integral part of the game and certainly got his face and new haircut on tv more than some of the players.
Celtic will leave France with a point and it could have been all three. The bhoys never looked out of place and have started the group on a positive note. Red card aside!
