The Celtic starting XI against St Mirren on Sunday will be interesting.

It’s the first SPFL game the club will have played after a European tie this season. Ange has been pretty steady in his starting lineups, but given the bhoys exploits midweek, could he ring in the changes and who could benefit from a starting XI turnover?

Hacksabanovic got a surprise start against Shakhtar and played the first 45 minutes before coming off for Daizen Maeda for the second half. Could we see another start for the Celtic new bhoy?

Giakoumakis, Mooy, Abada, Bernabei and even Celtic’s newest signing Oli Abildgaard might be hoping it’s their turn to get a space in the huddle.

Abildgaard playing in the match would give Celtic fans a first slim-season of their new defensive midfielder. Ange has spoken about Oli needing to get up to speed, however, he did make the bench against Shakhtar, could we see a debut on Sunday?

Ange likes to keep his own players and the opposition on their toes, I can’t imagine Celtic will start with the same team as Wednesday night.

We won’t have to wait long on Sunday for the Starting XI to make its way online. The game kicks off early on Sunday afternoon, we’ll find out what Ange is thinking in the morning.

The one thing that could stop the Celtic manager from making a few changes is the international break is straight up after this game. It means for those not on international duty, there’s plenty of time to recover and get ready for the next run of games.
