Transfer season is finally upon us and it appears Celtic have their plans in place as early as is expected under Ange Postecoglou.

Several players have already been linked with moves to Parkhead and ahead of the summer window, Postecoglou has given an update on the Hoops’ business. He said (Football Scotland):

“We have to be ready to fill those gaps (of departing players) with players who have the ability to take us to another level altogether. So there is always those challenges there.

“Another year you get to the point where there is any great certainty about the team we are finishing with and the team we will be starting the new season with.”

The Australian said the club have to be ‘ready’ to fill the shoes of any departing stars and if Postecoglou claims Celtic need to be something, they will be.

It is greatly encouraging that Postecoglou is on his toes although it is not unexpected.

Moreover, one wonders what ‘another level’ may look like domestically as at the minute in Scotland, Celtic are utterly dominant.
