ANGE POSTECOGLOU has reacted to Jack Ross’s dismissal from Dundee Utd after the bhoys thrashed the Dundee club 9-0 on Sunday.

It took until Tuesday morning for the news to come out after emergency talks between Ross and the club, but it was decided the former Sunderland boss would not continue just 10 weeks after taking over the club.

Celtic ran riot against The Arabs, who have been shipping goals like they’re going out of fashion.

When asked about the news during his Celtic TV press conference on Tuesday, Ange replied:

“I think we all realise the industry we’re in and the position we all hold.

“The repercussions when things aren’t going well, there’s less patience and tolerance these days for things not going well. People feel like change is the only recall when things aren’t going well.

“In days gone by, maybe we were a little more patient, but we’re all aware of it.

“Jack was aware of it; for all us managers, in today’s world, when things aren’t going well, there’s always the potential you can be relieved of your duties.”

Ange was speaking ahead of the Ross County cup tie on Wednesday night. It’s Celtic’s first midweek game of the new campaign. They have already earned a victory in Dingwall earlier this season and will be looking to keep their momentum heading into Saturday when they take on Rangers in the SPFL.

Jack Ross will now be looking around and wondering what’s next after being dismissed by Hibs and Dundee Utd in quick succession.

  1. Jack the hat will get a leaving gift of cash, he will move on. Dundee Celtic will not. They need a auld hand like Jack. And a bit more investment. They will now will be looking over their shoulders for a new boss/the championship, for their poisoned chalice. Doubt if they will get much interest.
