CARL STARFELT has given Celtic fans some class insight into the boss Ange Postecoglou.

One of Postecoglou’s first signings was Carl Starfelt, bringing him to the UK from Ruben Kazan. After a shaky start, the Swedish defender has become great and has developed a great partnership at the back with Carter-Vickers, helping contribute to the best defensive record in the league.

The Swedish defender told CeltsAreHere.com on Tuesday that winning the league title this season would be the highlight of his career so far.

Starfelt praised the manager and his methods as he gave some insight into how he acts in and around the changing room. [BBC]

“He’s very clear about the football he wants to play. Everyone knows what is demanded of them when they step out onto the football pitch.

“He’s also clear about the demands in training. People come to training, and they work very hard, the intensity in training and this is the biggest thing – to train well and to be very clear about what you want on the football pitch.

“He wanted very early for us to become very close with each other, like a family, so I feel there is good chemistry in the changing room.”

On Ange in the dressing room, Carl admitted the manager’s tactic is to leave the bhoys to it;

“No, I don’t think [that you don’t want to cross him].

“He’s not in the dressing room a lot. He’s not involved too much outside of football. I think he wants it that way, and it’s been working very good.”

“At the start of the season, only Postecoglou believed Celtic could win the league. His comments were laughed at, but he’s the one laughing now.

Celtic are closing in on their tenth title in eleven years, showing how dominant the club has been in recent times.
