The summer transfer window is fast approaching and at Celtic, it is certain plans will already be in place for recruitment.

The Hoops have been well on the ball in the market since Ange Postecoglou has been at the club and this off season will be no different.

Ahead of next season, there are a few areas that could do with strengthening.

One in particular, though, that could do with some more depth if the departure of Liel Abada transpires is the frontline.

The Israeli is continually being linked with moves away from Parkhead and it appears his future may lie elsewhere next campaign.

Due to this, Postecoglou will face a dilemma over how to replace Abada which will either be to go out and buy a replacement or promote from within.

If he promotes from within, we will probably be looking at Rocco Vata as Abada’s replacement.

Postecoglou has not been afraid to throw the 18 year old in at times and in all of his first team cameos so far, Vata has seemed to capture the imagination.

Directly trusting a player who is so young and has so little experience to directly replace someone of Abada’s ilk may not be the wisest decision in fairness.

Instead, going out and buying a quality replacement who can more than contribute to the first team will likely be Ange’s plan, thus the Levi Garcia links.

Nevertheless, this does not say Vata will not be starved of opportunities. He will just have to work for them the same as any other first team member has to.

When he gets them, he just has to make sure he grabs them with both hands which in fairness, he has done so far.
