ANGE Postecoglou has confirmed that Stephen Welsh has picked up a knock in training this week, and will miss Sunday’s match as a result.

The defender would’ve been involved in the matchday squad for Celtic’s trip to Hearts, with Carter-Vickers going under the knife and subsequently unavailable.
Ange Postecoglou confirmed the absence to the press on Friday, while he revealed it was the only change from last week’s squad.
He said: [Celtic TV]
“The only new one is stephen welsh, who picked up a knock in training. Everyone else is good to go.”
The Scottish defender, who scored the opening goal of this league campaign for the Hoops, has struggled for minutes this season, with Starfelt, Carter-Vickers, Kobayashi and, for the first six months of the season, Jenz all above him in the pecking order.
If he was going to get any minutes during the season, you’d imagine it would be during these last five league games. Ange Postecoglou will likely look to Lawal to fill in the spot on the bench, after Ange Postecoglou gave him his first team debut a few month ago.
