The Green Brigade, North Curve account have posted a video and images from the recent Copenhagen game which shows the high police presence in their area on match days.

The standings section of Celtic Park has been a success but the constant surveillance of football fans going to watch their team is pretty shocking.

These images even showing undercover police on the night in among the fans.

If you’re a football fan in Scotland, you are treated with contempt when attending games up and down the country.

In contrast to other events I’ve been to in and around Glasgow, the police take a very different approach to their manner when dealing with non-football fans.

Nobody can say this level of policing is needed for one section of the ground.

In fact, the charge against a Copenhagen player for pushing a police officer out the way could have been prevented if they weren’t so heavy-handed in the first place.

  1. Just a thought, but maybe at long last the club has had enough of continually coughing up for UEFA fines.

If these attention-seeking clowns would stop the flares and the IRA chants & songs then there would be no need for the police so grow up guys-you claim you represent all Celtic fans when most of us find you an embarrassment

  2. Dont get why its antagonistic, if Police presence makes you feel that way maybe you need to grow up a bit, says a lot more about you than anything else.

For the record the Copenhagen player jumped into the back of the officer which if he did I’m sure you would be screaming for him to get the jail

  3. The high police presence would have been better served chasing the celebrating Danish players up the tunnel instead of allowing their protracted celebrations with their fans at the end of the match. This was inflammatory and should not have been allowed.
The Copenhagen players particularly Ndoye was a thug whose persistent fouling went unpunished. VAR is a joke as was the referee who let the Danes away with murder
We need to administer our own justice in such situations and not expect fairness or protection from biased and/or inept officials

  4. When immigration officers start tuning up. BEWARE. As they’re trained better then the babalon and they don’t have any rules (unlike the babalon) They ask you to line up and stay still. Whilst they inquire if You have ‘leave to remain’ . No answer to either of these inquires. Is delt with a batton charge and use of their steel toe capers, from the shins via kneecaps to your testicles. You can’t hide from the Spanish inquisision or Immigration officers. But they are just all normal people with uniforms and deadly training.
