In the lead up to the Glasgow Derby day next Sunday we’re taking a look throughout the week at some of the best and even underrated banter years moments.

The banter years, for anyone not familiar, is the years which have proceeded Rangers going into administration and liquidation while a new club was formed to play out of Ibrox.

We’ve had some cracking moments. Balls in bushes, ‘same old Alloa, always cheating’, a roar from the Ibrox dressing room when they drew Celtic in the Scottish Cup (They lost 4-0) etc.

Today’s rather underrated banter years moment was the social media clip which surfaced after former Ibrox player Joe Garner was stretchered off. Usually, when a player is injured you will get private doctors and hospital care for to make sure your star receives the best possible chance of a quick recovery.

Well, NOT if you’re trying to save a few quid.

It’s funny how the last club died because they didn’t pay their tax bill, a tax bill which would have gone towards stuff like the NHS. The new club took advantage of the NHS that particular day and Joe Garner was pictured in his full strip waiting in accident emergency.

BANTER!

Stay tuned for more this week!
