Celtic are already out of the Champions League but need to pick up their first win of the tournament against their Ukrainian opponents Shakhtar Donetsk tonight if they are to have a chance of Europa League football in the new year.

The Hoops trail tonight’s opponents by four points and even a win would leave them needing to take something from their final fixture which is away to holders Real Madrid.

What we knew before any official team news tonight is that David Turnbull returns from injury but the game came too soon for Celtic pair Jota and Carl Starfelt, who Ange said yesterday could come back for the weekend.

Shakhtar Donetsk’s former Celtic winger Marian Shved and midfielder Yehor Nazaryna have not travelled to Glasgow because of injury.

With the teams just announced via their official channels, this is how Celtic will line up tonight:

We were not expecting many major surprises tonight with the managers starting eleven but nobody saw Giakoumakis and Kyogo both starting.
