BRENDAN RODGERS has told the media after today’s win against Hearts that Charly Musonda is STILL a Celtic player despite reports he had gone back to his parent club.

Rodgers confirmed the Belgian was back in London but only to receive treatment for a shoulder injury at Stamford Bridge.

This is common practice that a parent club treat their loan players for any injuries with Patrick Roberts spending a portion of this season in Manchester.

There is still speculation over the midfielder’s immediate future but the Celtic manager is relaxed about the whole thing.

Celtic ran out 3-1 winners at Tynecastle this afternoon with goals from Boyata, Dembele and Sinclair.

Musonda is unlikely to see any game time before the end of this season and it will be decided in the summer if he will see out his full loan deal.
