FOUR YEARS after he walked out on Celtic mid season, Brendan Rodgers has been releived of his duties at Leicester Football Club.

The Irishman enjoyed tremendous success in Glasgow, winning two trebles, he bailed out before the third one was in the bag much to many supporter’s dismay at the time.

The manager wanted back in the Premier League and believed he couldn’t take Celtic further without greater financial backing. There are fans who still haven’t forgiven Rodgers for the way he left, while others have calmed down over time.

The Leicester move was ultimaltely one that hasn’t worked out the way Rodgers would’ve wanted. The manager won the FA cup with the club, which was a great achievment. However, they went from challenging in the top six to being relegation candidates.

The Irishman seemed fed up with the lack of investment in his team and insisted he couldn’t work miricales.

The final nail in the coffin was the defeat to Crystal Palace at the weekend.

The club report it’s by mutual consent, but we all know what that means.

  1. One of St Brendan’s reasons for leaving Paradise was lack of forward thinking and lack of investment in the squad.

Now he has been sacked. And one of those reasons was, fat bank balance and no spare cash for players.

Nae luck Brendan. If it’s burst, keep quiet and say nothing huh.
