Transfer rumours still exist at the moment – whether they are rehashed assertions or new, tenuous links, it’s interesting that there are agents out there still looking to make noise for their clients.
Kristoffer Ajer is a player very much still a work in progress but his agent shocked many supporters when he declared the defender was looking for a route out of Parkhead this summer. This gave way to some stinging criticism of Ajer who has not had the best run of things over the last six months.
Leicestershire Live are reporting AC Milan and Leicester are looking to bring the Norweigan in and frame it as a £25m buy. If there was £25m on the table for Kristoffer Ajer, at this point in his career, I’d be taking the money and run.
When we’ve heard these figures for Celtic Players, it’s been for Dembele, Tierney and now Edouard. Hearing Ajer could go for that much seems far-fetched.
No doubt Ajer can be a top player, but moving him on right now would be a clear mistake from a footballing point of view. One more season at least at the club would be what’s best for the player. However, money talks and if any club gets near £25m with a bid, he will be off.
