SCOTT BROWN put a proper captains performance against Aberdeen yesterday.

It’s not surprising, the midfielder has been on another level for the last season and a half, but the battle at Pittodrie was right up his street.

During the game, Broony was on the end of some ‘tasty challenges’ and none more so than the challenge that seen Sam Cosgrove walk. Instead of rolling around injured or moaning to the referee after he was brought down and had the ball kicked off him by a cowardly Shay Logan – Broony got up, laughed and swaggered away.

The footage has gone viral and not just among Celtic fans with many people commenting on how Scott Brown is a ‘proper old fashioned midfielder’ – willing to mix it, whether he’s giving it out or in this instance taking it.

The Celtic Captain was on fine form as he walked away from the challenge and it was a job well done as Celtic took all three points from an Aberdeen side who can’t seem to manage a win against the Champions.
