Celtic were drawn at home to Highland League side Buckie Thistle in the Fourth Round of the Scottish Cup. The tie is one that Buckie’s manager was delighted at.

Graeme Stewart was with Inverness Caley Thistle when they knocked Celtic out of the Scottish Cup in 2000 and 2003. He will be hoping for another shock when he takes his side to Parkhead. He said (The Scottish Sun): “I’m over the moon. It’s the best draw we could’ve got – although getting Rangers at Ibrox with our hoops would’ve also been nice! But Celtic at Parkhead is incredible for the club”

Stewart’s Buckie players will relish the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to play at Celtic Park. They were delighted when the draw came out; a video of them going crazy went viral on social media moments after it.

The finances Buckie will get from the tie will be hugely beneficial and for Celtic, the game presents the ideal opportunity to ease themselves back into action post winter break. The tie is due to take place on the weekend of January 20th/21st 2024.
