Celtic were linked with a move for Danish under-21 internationalist striker Mathias Kvistgaarden over the summer. Recently, those links have resurfaced.
It is known that the Hoops are in the market for a centre forward this January, and the Brondby man’s name has been widely mentioned. According to Danish outlet Tipsbladet (via Football Scotland), though, clubs from three different countries are tracking the player.
It is said that there are teams from England, Germany, and France who are interested in Kvistgaarden, who has five goals and five assists in 16 appearances in the Danish top flight so far this season.
At 21 years of age, Kvistgaarden doesn’t have the most experience, although he does seem to have bags of potential. Celtic need someone who can come in in January and make an instant impact, and it will be hoped that the striker can do exactly that if he does make the move in a few months.
