Celtic captain Callum McGregor earned deserved recognition for his performance for Scotland on Sunday evening. It was an entertaining 3-3 draw for Steve Clarke’s team.
In the match itself, McGregor was a standout. The Hoops skipper was here, there, and everywhere in the engine room, making some crucial interventions and key contributions.

It was his strike on goal that led to the handball that won the Scots a penalty from which they scored their first leveller. Throughout, McGregor set a great example to any younger player and for his exploits, he won the Player of the Match award:

Yet again, the elite levels of the 30-year-old were exemplified in the most recent international break. Focus for McGregor, however, will now be on Motherwell. The Steelmen are due to be the next visitors to Parkhead when the Celts get back in action this Sunday.
Nothing but three points will be accepted going into a crucial part of the campaign. Motherwell is just the start of a run of countless games over the winter period.
