Former Aston Villa man Gabby Agbonlahor spoke about the time he was told off by Celtic legend Henrik Larsson during a charity match in Glasgow.

It was for Stan Petrov after the midfielder had recovered from a long battle with cancer. There was a star-studded lineup, including Henrik and One Direction singer Louis Tomlison.

The singer was shoulder barged by Gabby and ended up on the side of the pitch throwing up. The former Villa man is adamant it was Louis’ drinking the night before that was the cause and not the shoulder barge.

However, after the game, Henrik made Abonlahor apologise to the reality tv contestant.

Speaking on talkSport, Agbonlahor said: “It was a game for Petrov’s charity.

“It was just a normal shoulder barge and because he’d been drinking the night before in the hotel he was a bit hungover.

“He was sick on the side of the pitch and Martin O’Neill wasn’t happy.

“After the game I got a telling off of Henrik Larsson.

“He was like ‘you have to apologise, come on. You don’t do that’.

“I was like ‘sorry mate I didn’t mean to’. It was a charity game yes but you don’t lose that edge do you?

“He wasn’t happy and I was like ‘calm down Henrik’.”

It was an emotional day at Celtic Park when Stan Petrov took centre stage. With his wife and kids in attendance, he couldn’t hold back the tears as 60,000 Celtic fans belted out You’ll Never Walk Alone.

Louis will remember that day for a camera man getting some pretty graphic photos of him vomiting. I don’t think One Direction fans were too pleased with Gabby!

Henrik looking out for the singer after the match. Telling the king to calm down at Celtic Park is a bigger offence if you ask me!
