On-loan Tottenham Hotspur defender Cameron Carter Vickers has become a key figure in the side since joining Ange Postecoglou’s side in the summer.

The American internationalist has played in every game after joining late on summer deadline day and has talked up the fact he is enjoying his stay at Parkhead.

After Saturday’s 0-0 draw against Livingston, Carter Vickers was also keen to state still hold full belief behind principles and way of playing, as the players continue to be right behind Postecoglou.

“The way we play is the way we believe will bring us the most success and the players are all right behind that,” he said, as cited by the Daily Record.

“That’s what we want to do, that’s what we try to do, and that’s what we’ll keep doing.

“It was a chance to go top of the league, and that’s obviously where we want to be, but it’s only the end of October and leagues aren’t won at this time of the season.

“There’s plenty of time, and I believe if we stick to our principles, we’ll get there.

“I’m feeling good; I’m enjoying it here. It’s all about keep on improving, keeping doing what the manager wants us to do.”

It has been great to see the loanee come into the side straight away and make a real impact at the heart of the defence – striking up a partnership with Carl Starfelt and Joe Hart.

On Thursday, he will have a new defensive partner to play alongside, with Starfelt set to miss the trip to Hungary. However, you can’t see this being something that will faze the 23-year old.

Hopefully, we can continue to see him making the same impact going into the busy winter schedule, which could ultimately define our season.
