CELTIC are among the highest supported clubs in Britain so it stands to reason they would be there or thereabouts with regards to top attendances of the season.

Celtic Park boasts 60,000 seats and an intimidating atmosphere on special nights in Glasgow.

In the list of 20 biggest attendances of the season so far, Celtic broke the top five and were only outdone by Arsenal, Spurs and Manchester United.

Of course, the argument will be made the bigger the stadium the bigger the attendance but that’s not necessarily the case for all clubs.

With the Scottish game always put down by people in English football it’s heartening to see Scottish football games being so well attended and making light work of some of the so called ‘bigger’ clubs down south.

That’s why Celtic take their position as fourth on this table, and no it wasn’t for a Glasgow Derby, but an Aberdeen game where both sets of fans played their part to have the highest attendance in Scotland in the SPFL.

Outwith that, Celtic are also part of one of the highest attendances in Scottish football this year at a neutral venue. Selling out our allocation against Hearts in the League Cup Final.
