Tomorrow’s Daily Record’s front cover suggest Celtic are closing in on a deal for Cameron Carter-Vickers.

The news hasn’t dropped online yet but the paper claims from its headline the bhoys have thrashed out terms with the American international and he’s keen to stay.

However, the final deal and how it will be paid is the obvious stumbling block before a deal can be done. Spurs will make sure they get top dollar for the player but Celtic do have the first option. The price of CCVs first options is subject so speculation with no media outlet reporting the same kind of figures.

CCV has been one of Celtic;s best players this season, helping the bhoys bring home the league title and being part of the team who went an incredible 32 SPFL games undefeated.

Celtic fans have been crying out for Jota and CCV to be tied up but it’s a lot of money for Celtic to put up. We’ve seen in many seasons gone by the unwillingness from the club to shell out big money on loan players from the prior season.

This time it looks like the players want to stay. The automatic Champions League slot means Celtic have guaranteed big money funds and the players want to stay here to play in Europe’s elite competition.

Celtic fans will be buzzing if the club pull this off.
