Celtic are being as active as they can be days before the squad will already meet back up after a very short close season.
With Champions League qualifiers a high priority Ronny Deila wants no repeats of lasts season and will be making sure his team are fit and raring to go.
With that in mind he is still looking for a striker to replace John Guidetti and Celtic have now set their sights on Belgian star Jelle Vossen as a possible replacement. The Genk frontman spent last season on-loan to Middlesborough but has since returned to his parent club.
Genk are open to offers for the player who has scored over 100 goals in 234 appearances for the club and he could be just what Celtic need.
Middlesborough still have first option on the player with a transfer fee of £3million being agreed as part of his loan deal. However it’s thought that Boro’ may distance themselves from the deal after failing to win promotion to the Premiership.
Jelle Vossen is 26 years old and has been at Genk his whole career, being loaned out on 2 occasions. He also has 12 caps for the Belgian squad and has scored two goals for his country.
