Footballers are sometimes known to dab their hands at other sports and see how they get on, two Celtic stars being the latest to do so.
Gustaf Lagerbielke, who recently put up an intriguing video compilation on his Instagram, joined his fellow Hoops defender Alistair Johnston for a game of tennis on Monday morning.
The players would have had a relatively free day after they secured their place in the Scottish Cup semi-finals on Sunday with a hard-earned 4-2 victory over Livingston.
Indeed, the morning after the win, Johnston posted a picture of Lagerbielke – with a tennis ball in one hand and a racket in the other – on his Instagram story:
Playing indoors to avoid the cold, it would have been intriguing to see if the pair reached the levels of the likes of Andy Murray and Novak Djokovic.
The defensive duo do seem to enjoy quite the friendship off the park; it was just last week they went to the Emirates Arena to watch the World Indoor Athletics Championships.
Seeing such bonds develop among the team is pleasing as they only serve to boost morale and chemistry within the camp, something that is critical at a time like now near the run-in.
