Every report since the season has ended and claims in Portugal all point to Jota signing with Celtic on a permanent basis this summer.
The Record Sport were foolish enough to put a timeline on things that’s come and gone. However – it’s not been a cause for concern.
There is a widely held belief Jota will become a permanent Celtic player before the end of the month.

After seeing the Portuguese winger in Spain with some of his Celtic teammates — Jota is now in New York! A Celtic fan put the word out on Jota’s whereabouts after spotting him in Manhattan.
Benfica have no plans to use the player and Celtic are desperate to get a deal done.
While we all know a deal is not completely done until it’s confirmed there is an air of confidence to suggest Jota will be at Lennoxtown when the players return at the end of June.
Because there are no Champions League qualifiers next season — the bhoys are enjoying a longer time off. In recent years they’ve had at most a three week break between seasons.
Hopefully everyone comes back refreshed and raring to go — including Jota!
