It’s disappointing to hear Celtic won’t be finding out our post-split fixtures until Tuesday according to reports.

The SPFL was supposed to release the schedule on Monday after the top and bottom six teams were determined over the weekend, but apparently, negotiations with broadcasters are still ongoing. [RecordSport]

It’s frustrating that the league and Sky couldn’t have sorted out different scenarios beforehand to ensure a timely release of fixtures. However, it seems that Sky TV and Police Scotland are in talks with league bosses to decide which games will be broadcasted live and on which dates.

With St Mirren securing a top-half finish for the first time since 80’s and Celtic closing in on another title, it’s no surprise that broadcasters want to capture these moments on camera. It’s also important to note that St Johnstone, Dundee United, Kilmarnock, and Ross County are still in danger of relegation, so there’s a lot of drama to cover. But fans left in the dark for a further 24 hours unable to make plans is regrettable.

We hope to see our victory lap and trophy presentation will be televised. Celtic can clinch the league title on the first game after the split, which is likely to be televised. Let’s hope we get the fixtures soon, so we can start planning our celebrations!

  1. What about the fans. Who is running our game? NOT the effin TV or the SFA, nor the SPFL? It’s about the fans. They are all getting their money for thew duties, they don’t give a sh1t about the fans. The bastards have ruined the game for the fans.
