Scottish Government official, Professor Jason Leitch has today suggested that when fans do return to football stadiums, those living nearby the ground will be the first allowed in.

As reported by the Scottish Sun, Speaking on BBC Radio programme Off the Ball, when questioned around the matter, Leitch believes that those living within the postcode, will be the first allowed back inside Celtic Park.

“I think so. Now that is controversial because people would not like the fact, they had been excluded from that.

“We are not going to go from zero to thirty thousand, so we are going to go from 0 to 750 to 1500 to 3000. It is going to move in stages like in other parts of the world.”

Supporters have been waiting months, without much update around the matter of returning to football grounds.

Whatever way that the first to go back is decided, is going to be a controversial one. Everyone wants to be back in there so it is understandable that those living further away would be frustrated with that decision.

Before it comes to that though, Scottish football does still need the green light to allow fans back.

I for one, cannot wait for that day but definitely still feel we are going to have to be patient for a little while longer.
