CELTIC fringe player Kristoffer Ajer has intimated he may be open to a move in January if he is still not in the first team.

The defender, who has been overlooked as a defensive option in-place of midfielder Nir Bitton is desperate for first team football.

“The window opens on 1 January, so I’ll talk to the manager and hear what the plan is.

The Norweigan spent the second half of last season on-loan to Kilmarnock where he picked up player of the year in such a short spell.

While the youngster may be frustrated with his lack of game time so far, he’s happy with his performances when he has been called upon. He also understands the talent in the team at the moment makes it even harder to breakthrough.

“It’s clear there are many good international players here, who I compete with, but I have played several good games already so Celtic are very positive”
