Celtic are reportedly keeping tabs on Copa America and Ecuador defender Piero Hincapie.

As reported by Sun Sport, the Hoops are one of several clubs watching the 19-year old who has stood out so far for his international side in their three games in the Copa America.

Currently, Hincapie plays his football for Talleres de Cordoba in Argentina but has now attracted interest from the likes of PSG, Bayern Munich, AC Milan and Newcastle United.

The defender would not come at a cheap cost, with it being reported that he would cost around £8.5 million to bring to the club next season.

With a youngster showing his ability on the big stage at an international tournament, they will always likely attract interest from across the globe.

Despite Celtic being in need of defenders next campaign, especially with Champions League qualifiers beginning next month, this move feels like one Celtic will be priced out of from the beginning.
