Queens Park may have lost to Queen of the South 3-1 on the night but it was Celtic loanee Brody Paterson who got the plaudits even though he was on the losing side.

Brody, 19, has been sent out on loan this season along with a number of Celtic youngsters in the hope they can develop with first team football.

Paterson is another hopeful in a line of Celtic reserve players who are a victim of the times. The midfielder along with his team-mates have not been able to develop at Celtic because there are no competitive games or league to speak of in the current Celtic setup.

The bhoys who didn’t get out on loan are spinning their wheels in training and not doing much else at all.

Brody is on loan to the Glasgow club and has been doing well so far for his loan side.

Can any of these youngsters hope to make the breakthrough?

You have to think there’s going to be a large reset after this season with a lot of things at the club, could any of them capitalise?
