Both players have inked one-year extensions, with Montgomery set to stay at the club until June 2027 and Dawson until June 2025.

Adam Montgomery, a 21-year-old left-back, has shown significant promise since breaking into the Celtic first team in 2021. Throughout his time with the club, Montgomery has accumulated 20 first-team appearances. His development has been further enhanced by loan spells at St Johnstone, Aberdeen, Fleetwood Town and most recently Motherwell, where he aimed to gain more first-team experience. Unfortunately, a season-ending injury cut short his time at Motherwell, but Montgomery’s new contract reaffirms Celtic’s belief in his potential and future contribution to the team.

Joey Dawson has been a key figure for Celtic’s B team. The forward has not only scored several important goals, including a memorable double against Rangers, but he has also demonstrated his readiness for higher competition by making his senior debut in a match against St Johnstone on Boxing Day 2021, under Ange Postecoglou.
