CELTIC recalled Scott Robertson this month from his loan at Gillingham. It came at the same time 13 players were forced to self-isolate after the Dubai trip.

It was assumed Celtic were bringing Scott back to play a part in the two games Celtic had to play without a lot of their first team. That doesn’t appear to have been the motivation for bringing the midfielder back after all.

Even though he was being played by Gillingham, Celtic are looking to send Scott back out on-loan before the end of the transfer window.

CeltsAreHere understands Scott is on the verge of a move back to League One, but this time to Doncaster Rovers.

Doncaster Rovers are currently 4th in the table and are shooting for promotion to the Championship. It could be a fantastic move for Robertson and a real test of his talents.

No disrespect to Gillingham, but they currently sit 12th in the table.

The transfer window closes next week, so the deal would need to be done by then.
