Celtic have already recalled two of their loan players this week with Scott Robertson and Ross Doohan returning to the club. However, the bhoys are in desperate need of defensive reinforcements and if they were going to call back anyone right now it probably should be Jack Hendry. The only problem is, there’s no call back clause, SunSport confirms.

The Scottish defender has been one of Oostende’s standout performers this season since moving out on loan. The player has enjoyed some good success and has two goals to his names.

Since leaving Celtic on loan, you can see the player’s confidence has grown.

Even if he wasn’t the answer long term, bringing him back now would have been beneficial to the team as they try to navigate to the end of the season.

The league is gone in January and there’s every chance a new manager will come in this summer. If that’s the case, the club are less likely to bring in new players this January window and will likely make do with what we have. Maybe the odd loan deal will be as good as it gets.
