New signing Leil Abada has been named in the top 100 under-20 talents by CIES Football Observatory. Taking the top spot was Pedri of Barcelona, who took the footballing world by surprise after playing over 70 games last season.

The list took all footballers who were not yet 20 and had played first-team matches for their clubs. CIES then looked at the minutes played, goals and assists as well as the level of league and club.

Celtic signed Abada for £3.5 million, and it is fair to say the 19-year-old has dazzled the Celtic support. After signing a 5-year contract which could see him in the hoops until 2026, the winger has scored four goals so far. Abada looks like a real coup for Celtic and has the potential to have a bright career in football. He scored another two at the weekend against St Mirren and could dislodge James Forrest as the number one pick on the right wing.

Also listed was reported Celtic target, Mario Vuskovic. After bids in the region of £5 million were made [Sunsport], the trail ran cold and Celtic ended their interest in the Croatian defender. Although, with his team being knocked out of the Europa Conference League, it is surprising Celtic have not re-ignited their interest.
