CELTIC take on Livingston on Wednesday night, hoping to maintain their twelve point gap at the top of the SPFL.

The bhoys lost last time out and will be looking to right that wrong midweek. However, it won’t be easy. The artificial surface will again play its part along with Livingston’s resolute approach to defending.

Celtic came undone because they couldn’t get to grips with the physicality Livingston were showing us on the day. Jullien had a nightmare and his first proper introduction to Scottish football and Ryan Christie was sent off for a reckless lunge.

We’re unsure if Jozo Simunovic will make the game after missing the Scottish Cup game at the weekend. However, one thing not many people have talked about from the St Johnstone game is that Elhamed is back in the fold after three months.

The Israeli defender didn’t get onto the field but the fact he was deemed fit enough to take his place on the bench is a huge boost for the club.

The question would then be, would Neil Lennon risk a returning player on Livingston’s plastic pitch? Elhamed has shown himself to be a capable hand in the games he has played this year but he has had one too many injuries to have a sustained run in the team.

The St Mirren game at home on Saturday could be the best time to introduce the player.
