We’re now sitting in March! Where has the season gone?

We’re about to enter the final stretch of games that will take us all the way to May and it’s exciting as usual.

Celtic are again chasing a treble at this part of the season which is incredible. The spirit and determination on show has been inspiring at times.

The squad as a whole has been used well since the season started with Neil Lennon’s depth cited by many as Celtic’s ace in the hole.

There are a few players I pegged at the start of the season to come in and make an impact. One lad I had high hopes for was Daniel Arzani. At the start of the season, the player was back on the training field and taking tentative steps back into the game after suffering an ACL injury.

I thought it would be a matter of time before he got some game time and showed the Celtic support what he’s capable of and why he was the youngest player at the last World Cup. However, a mixture of setbacks and Neil Lennon choosing not to experiment with fringe players has meant Arzani has not had a look in.

The Australian has played just five minutes of football this season, coming on as a sub in the Partick Thistle Scottish Cup game.

With Celtic looking to bring home nine-in-a-row and in the semi-final of the Scottish Cup, there’s little to no chance the winger gets any real game time before all is said and done.

A two-year loan deal which promised so much but in the end, bad luck and bad timing will see the player head back to Manchester City this summer and probably loaned out somewhere else.
