We reported last week that an iconic piece of Celtic memorabilia had been stolen from a football museum in Manchester.
The people’s away Celtic kit which was released in the 90s was on display at the gallery with a Celtic supporter donating the item.
Last month, someone brazenly stole the jersey during the day at the museum and walked out with a rare piece of Celtic history.
There has been a large campaign to find it and return it to the museum and tonight the good news was shared on social media!
Absolutely buzzing!!!
Thank you so much to everyone for their support over the last month. I never thought I’d get to see this again.
All your sharing of posts and media links has paid off???? https://t.co/owStAqtUqL— Paul Lamb (@paolodilamio) March 3, 2020
The strip itself was one of a number of dodgy away kits back in the 90s. It appears to be more appreciated now than it ever was back then. The top still splits opinion but the nostalgia for some of these kits gets people talking.
We’re delighted to see it back on display.
