GREG TAYLOR went off injured in the early going against Ross County on Sunday night but the Celtic manager isn’t completely sure what’s happened to the player.

Neil Lennon described the injury as a ‘strange one’, noting Greg was having an issue with his thigh which made him ultimately pull up.

“He felt his thigh in the first action of the game when he has passed it back to Kris Ajer.

“He was obviously able to run on with it, but obviously he has pulled up very quickly after that. Again it is a strange one.”

Taylor has emerged as Celtic’s first choice left back after winning his place back from Diego Laxalt who started off well this season but has faded away very quickly.

Taylor is a more creative outlet down the left hand side and nobody would have thought that back at the start of the season. It shows you the player is growing and learning. While we know Greg will have his limitations, he is putting in the work and doing what he can to stay in the team.

We hope the injury can be identified and dealt with promptly. The last thing we need is more injuries to defenders.
