Celtic defender Carl Starfelt is out injured at the moment, but while he recovers from his injury the Swede went down to support the Celtic women side in the Sky Sports Cup.

The Ghirls took on Partick Thistle at Petershill Park on Saturday afternoon, winning 2-0.

As they booked their place in the quarter-final of the competition, the Celtic defender took in the game.

The Cynic Women account posted the image of the big Swede urging more Celtic players to get down and show their support for the women’s side.

Carl has been out since the Glasgow derby win. Ange Postecoglou told CeltsAreHere.com the defender will still be out for a few weeks yet. Given our massive fixture list between now and the World Cup, getting the centre-back fit is imperative.
